My journey began in a working-class family where uncertainty was constant. Going to college was a luxury we couldn't easily afford, and finding a meaningful career felt anything but guaranteed. Determined to build a different future, I worked my way through school and began a career one step ahead of financial hardship.

Over the next several decades, I built and led teams at startups and Fortune 500 companies, helped organizations grow through acquisitions and IPOs, and worked with talented people across North America and internationally. Along the way I got married, raised a family, and learned that success is about much more than a résumé.

Those experiences shaped the practical success principles I now share through keynote presentations, campus talks, writing, and Cheerful Gear. My work is built around a belief: practical ideas and small actions can help people move beyond uncertainty and toward greater fulfillment.
